Agent coding with R workshop

Join our workshop on Agent coding with R, part of our Ukraine workshop series!

Here is some additional information:

Title: Agent coding with R

Date: Thursday April 2, 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. CET (Rome, Berlin, Paris time zone)

Speaker: Charles Crabtree is a political scientist and senior lecturer in the Faculty of Social Sciences at Monash University. His research lies at the intersection of political behavior, discrimination, and research methods, with work spanning experiments, text analysis, and large-scale observational data.

Description: This workshop presents agent coding for R: Use AI assistants that can help you plan, write, execute, and review multi-step analysis workflows while keeping your work transparent and repeatable. Using Warp.dev as a concrete interface, we will review practical models for (1) transforming complicated research tasks into clear, verifiable steps, (2) writing R code securely, (3) generating documentation and analysis notes as you work, and (4) developing a written record that you can share with co-authors or with you. A key goal is adversarial agent coding: pairing a “builder” agent with a separate “reviewer” agent that attempts to break, audit, and improve the code produced by the first agent – testing hypotheses, spotting silent failures, and proposing fixes. The focus is not on quick tips, but on reliable habits: how to constrain the agent, verify results and integrate agentic help into real projects (data cleaning, modeling, tables and figures and report generation). Participants will leave with copy-and-paste templates that they can reuse immediately.

Minimal registration fee: 20 euros (or 20 USD or 800 UAH)
